Our supportive housing services and mentorship are delivered through a structured, high-accountability 120-day intensive pipeline touching each of our four pillars . We do not simply hand out resources; we walk alongside young adults through a coordinated, step-by-step transition into stability.

The Four Pillars in Action

BTS MONDAY HOUSE

True community integration requires a sense of belonging. Through our partnership with Pilsen Arts & Community House, we operate the BTS Monday House—a weekly drop-in sanctuary where creative expression, positive peer tracking, and holistic safety meet. This is our low-barrier anchor. We know that we cannot expect a young person experiencing the trauma of housing instability to engage in a 120-day goal-setting program on day one.

The Monday House exists to stabilize the immediate crisis. By offering a snack, hygiene supplies, and a space free of judgment, we build the radical trust necessary to eventually bridge youth into our intensive mentorship track and long-term Rising Roots housing program.

This year, we are building out the supply chains and intake protocols to make this front door seamless.

120-Day Mentorship

We provide trauma-informed, one-on-one mentorship that serves as an emotional safety net. By providing consistent, non-judgmental guidance, we help young adults process systemic barriers and build the personal resilience needed to sustain independence

We recognize that youth facing housing instability cannot focus on long-term goals while in active survival mode. That is why our 120-Day Mentorship Model is intentionally phased. We dedicate the first two weeks entirely to crisis stabilization and trust-building.Then move to goal setting. By breaking the 4-month journey into clear and manageable milestones moving from vital document acquisition to life-skills workshops. We create an accountable, realistic pathway towards stability.

Rising Roots: Home start

While we do not operate direct brick-and-mortar shelters, we actively connect participants to local housing resources. We understand securing an apartment is a massive victory, but moving into a completely empty space can be deeply isolating. Rising Roots is our housing stability program designed to help young adults successfully transition into independent living without the burden of paying for furniture.

Thanks to a strategic partnership with Second City Hauling, we are building a pipeline to supply essential furniture pieces to our young adults as they move in. By ensuring they have foundational items like a bed or a place to sit, we remove an immediate financial burden and help them begin building a stable, dignified home.

This capacity-building year is focused on formalizing this logistics pipeline and piloting the transition with our first core group of youth.

606 Run Club

Isolation is one of the greatest threats to long-term housing and life stability. Our 606 Run Club serves as the permanent community anchor for Break The System Project. Moving together on the trail breaks down isolation, regulates the nervous system after trauma, and builds organic peer support. While our formal mentorship wraps up after 120 days, the Run Club has no end date. It provides a lifelong, healthy community family where young adults keep moving forward together. This capacity-building year is focused on establishing a consistent run schedule, securing athletic gear donations, and piloting the club with our first core cohort.

Our Monthly Community Workshop

Economic mobility is the bedrock of housing stability when healing is allowed and knowledge is provided. We deliver practical, real-world workforce preparation, life skills/interpersonal skills and spaces for creative expression including:

Personal Budgeting: Managing income, understanding banking, and building credit.
Purposeful Leadership: Character development and professional goal mapping.
Communication Skills: Conflict resolution, interview preparation, and workplace etiquette.
Creative Skill: Collage and Connect, Junk Journal, and many more.
